College Cyclists won Gold & Silver Medals in International Tournaments

Amritsar, Mar. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Ms. Kezia Varghees & Parvathy VG Cycling players of BBK DAV College for Women, brought laurels to the college in International and National tournaments. Kezia Varghees won One Gold Medal & One Silver Medal in Asia Cup held at New Delhi, Silver Medal in ACC Track Asia Cup held at Bangkok and participated in 34^th & 35^th Asian Cycling Championship, Common Wealth Games and Asian Games whereas Parvathy VG won Bronze Medal in Asia Cup held at New Delhi and participated in 34^th Asian Cycling Championship.

National Games & Sr. National Achievement

Ms. Kezia Varghees won two Gold Medals & One Silver Medal in 35^th National Games held at Kerala from 31^st Jan to 14^th feb, 2015 and also won One Gold and Two Silver Medal in 35^th National Championship. Ms. Parvathy VG won Gold Medal & Ms. Rajbir Kaur won Silver Medal in 35^th Natinal Games. The College cyclists gave a splendid show by defeating the players from Delhi, Maharashtra , Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Manipur.

Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and HOD Sports Department Ms. Sweety Bala, along with the teacher Ms. Savita Kumari and Ms. Rupinder kaur congratulated the students and motivated them to touch new heights in future.
