Chief Khalsa Diwan all Set to observe Martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur

PPN2406201609Amritsar, June 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Chief Khalsa Diwan is all set to observe Martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur by organizing  Light and Sound play ‘DEG TEG FATEH’ which is  going to be staged on 30th June, 2016  at 6:00 p.m  in Guru Arjan Dev Auditorium at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public Sen. Sec. School, G.T. Road. A meeting was called in this regard at Chief Khalsa Diwan Head office to make proper arrangements for  the grand show. Speaking on the occasion, President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha commented that there is a need to educate people about the rich history and tradition of Punjab including its leaders like Banda Singh Bahadur. The  play written by Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani ( Head Sikh History and Research Dept., Khalsa College) and  directed by Kewal Dhaliwal would depict the various aspects of courageous life of  first sovereign ruler of Punjab i.e Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.The presence of  models attired as historical Sikh warriors with horses in traditional style,  Gatka performances, installation of Khalsa flags and Nishan Sahib, related book exhibition, presentation of coins on the name of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur with his inscribed photo would present the true picture of Punjab History in the show.The show would begin with power point presentation by scholar Dr. Balwant Singh Dhillon (Chief Khalsa Diwan member , also Professor Guru Nanak Sikh Studies Dept. G.N.D.U) would depict the  life of Khalsa symbol Baba Banda Singh Bahadur . He further said that Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society  is always in the efforts of preserving the heritage and descending the religious values to the  next generation. He declared that Besides organizing Grand Kirtan Darbar and huge Nagar Kirtan, Chief Khalsa Diwan would celebrate all Gurpurabs including Parkash purabs of Sikh  Gurus and  observe Shaheedi divas of great Sikh warriors and Gurus on a large scale every year.  At this occasion, Honorary Secy, S. Narinder Singh Khurana, Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon,  S. Harminder Singh, S. Navpreet Singh Sahni, S. Santokh Singh Sethi, Kewal Dhaliwal,  Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani along other Member Incharges and CKD principals were present.
