4276 cases disposed off  from 7285 cases in National Lok Adalat

Amritsar, November 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – National Lok Adalat was held As per the directions given by National Legal Services Authority. Criminal Compoundable Cases, Negotiable Instruments Act, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Disputes, Labour Disputes, Land Acquisition Cases, all type of Civil Cases, Revenue Cases, MNREGA, Electricity & Water Bills (excluding theft Cases), Cases relating to Sale Tax, Income Tax,  Indirect Tax Cases (CESTAT), Service Matters, Forest Act Cases, Cantonment Board Matters, Railway Claims, Disaster Compensation, all type of Appeals & Writs  and Covered Matters at District Courts, Amritsar as well as Sub Divisions Ajnala and Baba Bakala were taken during the Lok Adalat. 61 benches were constituted at District Courts Complex, Sub Divisions, Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar and Assistant Labour Commissioner Amritsar for taken up and disposal of maximum cases related to the above mentioned categories in this National Lok Adalat. Out of total numbers of 61 benches, 32 benches were constituted at District Courts Complex Amritsar, as well as Sub Divisions Ajnala and Baba Bakala, 29 benches were constituted at Revenue department including Municipal Corporation and Assistant Labour Commissioner, Amritsar by which total 7285 cases were taken up in this National Lok Adalat and 4276 cases were disposed off. Settled amount in this National Lok Adalat is Rs.12,38,48,331/- (Twelve Crore Thirty eight Lacs Forty Eight Thousand three hundred thirty one.)
