Amritsar, May 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Saket Dingliwal, the JEE (Mains) District Topper from DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar credited his Principal and the teachers for his achievement. He scored 298 marks out of 360 and made of the holy city and the school proud with his brilliant performance in the prestigious exam. All humbled, Saket was filled with gratitude during his visit to the school and said that the guidance and motivation he received from the teachers at school enthused in him the confidence to excel. When asked about his secret he said, “They key word which every student should take care of is ‘Management’. Management of time, syllabus and even one’s own self is very important.” He advised the students to be regular and clarify all doubts from time to time with the help of teachers as he did. Throughout his schooling, he has been a brilliant student and has brought many laurels for the school and for himself. He was ranked 276 at the National Level in Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojna. He bagged 22nd rank in Punjab in Regional Mathematics Olympiad in 2013–14 and appeared in Indian National Mathematics Olympiad. He was ranked in National Top 1 % in National Standard Examination of Physics and State Top 1 % in National Standard Examination of Astronomy in 2014. He was selected for Indian National Olympiad based on his stupendous performance in National Standard Examination of Chemistry, Astronomy and Physics. He thanked all the teachers for their meticulous guidance and valuable tips which helped him in cracking the exam. He was overwhelmed at the warm welcome he received at the school and said that he had come to seek blessings of all for JEE (Advance).
Before leaving, he asked the students to take advantage of the affectionate and conducive environment of the school that provides ample opportunities to learn and explore. He once again expressed his gratitude to the Principal for her inspiring presence and being a role model to him.
Regional Director Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate, sent their best wishes for him.They said that belief in ones capabilities helps a person to excel. They encouraged him for his future endeavour.
