Homage paid to Martyrs of Manipur Attack

Jalandhar , June 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On the fateful day of 04 June last year, 16 gallant soldiers of 6 DOGRA made the supreme sacrifice while fighting the terrorists in Chandel District, Manipur.The ultimate sacrifice of the brave comrades continued to inspire the Paltan which carried on relentless Counter Insurgency operations, successfully eliminating three hard core insurgents and recovering a large quantity of arms, ammunition and war like stores. In the memory of these brave men, under the aegis of Vajra Corps, 6 DOGRA today observed the martyrs day. A wreath laying ceremony and Special Sainik Sammelan were organised to pay tribute to the martyrs whose courage and valour would continue to inspire generations to come.  The paltan saluted these gallant soldiers and dedicated its achievements and victories to the brave hearts whose memory will forever remain kindled in the hearts and sacrifice inspires to achieve the greater heights in all fields.
