Amritsar, Oct. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the aegis of DAVCAE, DAVCMC New Delhi two days ‘Capacity Building Programme’ for teachers was held at DAV Public School , Lawrence Road , Amritsar. The workshop was conducted for various subjects – Science, Music, Fine Arts, Computers, Physical Education, Dance and EEDP (Early Education Development Programme). As many as 350 teachers from DAV Public School, GND DAV Public School Bhikhiwind , MKD DAV Public School Attari, Police DAV Public School , DAV International School KRJ DAV Public School Kapurthala, DAV Edwardganj Sr. Secondary School Malout, SVJC DAV Public School Dasuya, JLM DAV Public School Gurdaspur, BBMB DAV Public School Talwara, JNJ DAV Sr. Secondary School Giddarbaha and CMDAV Sr.Secondary Public School Dabwali , participated in the workshop.
The workshop which aimed at enhancement and sharing of knowledge and new ideas in the academic and co–curricular front was inaugurated by Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. While addressing the teachers she said that workshops are very important for professional development as they help in adapting and updating the content and methodology according to the need of the fast upgrading times. She added that such workshop faster a personal educational vision and provide knowledge and working skills in planning, creativity and innovation.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar the Manager of the school , said that learning is never ending process and such workshops help teachers to hone their teaching skills so that they can satisfy the curiosity of the enthusiastic learners. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school thanked Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra ji for being a constant support to the productive activities of the school. She also expressed her gratitude to the team of observers who provided their expert opinion and guided the teachers for the best turn out for the students in all perspectives.
