Capacity Building Program held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, June 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the initiative taken by the visionary and proactive Revered Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Padma Shree Awardee President DAV CMC New Delhi and under the aegis of DAV CAE DAV CMC New Delhi, a two days Capacity Building Programme for teachers was held on 28th and 29th June 2024 at DAV Public School Lawrence Road Amritsar. The workshop was graced by literary luminary Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Training Coordinator & Regional Officer Punjab Zone–A. The workshop was conducted for various subjects like English, Hindi, Music /Dance Drama, Fine Arts, Accountancy, Physical Education & Yoga, EEDP, EEDP1, EEDP2, Psychology and Counsellors, Business Studies and Computers

While addressing the teachers the Regional Officer Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra said that the Capacity Building Programs are designed to bring out the best of every teacher. The workshops provide them the insights to be valued and infused in every day teaching. She also stated that in yesteryears, learning was synonymous with curriculum; however, there has been a paradigm shift in the teaching pedagogy and learning strategies between the Millennial Generation and Post-Millennials. To cope up with these changes the teachers need to keep themselves abreast with the techniques and methodology of imparting education and simultaneously work upon increasing their QPI.

As many as 303 teachers from DAV Public School Amritsar, Police DAV Public School Amritsar, MKD DAV Public School Attari, BBK DAV Public School Amritsar, JNJ DAV Sr. Sec. Public School Giddarbaha, DAV Edwardganj Sr. Sec. Public School Malout, BBMB DAV Public School Talwara, KRJ DAV Public School Kapurthala, JLM DAV Public School Gurdaspur, DAV Red Cross School for Special Children Amritsar, LJNDAV Public School Gardiwala participated enthusiastically in the workshop and  commended the efforts of the Master Trainer trained from DAV CAE , DAV CMC New Delhi.

The Principal of the school Dr. Pallavi Sethi expressed her gratitude to DAV CAE, DAV CMC for their initiative the Regional Officer Dr. Neelam Kamra for her Training Inputs and the Master trainer along with the participants for their gracious presence. She also lauded the efforts of all the resource persons. She appreciated the tremendous enthusiasm of the participants and encouraged them to adopt the methodologies discussed during the workshop in classrooms to meet the diverse learning needs of the present generation.
