‘Sirjana’ inaugurated at GND University

Amritsar,  Nov. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Life Long Learning Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University organized ‘Sirjana’ an exhibition of handicrafts and garments made by students of the department. A large number of students and faculty members are participating in it. This event will conclude November 03. Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu Vice Chancellor formally inaugurated this exhibition.  Prof. Kamaljit Singh Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. N.S Tung, Prof. Paramjit Singh Judge, Prof. Hardip Singh, Prof. M.L. Singh, Prof. Gurpreet Bal, Prof. Raminder Kaur, Prof. Radha Sharma and Smt. Tejpal Kaur, Programme Assistant were present. Dr. Suninder Tung Director welcomed the chief guest and others. She also gave the details about the activities of the department. She said that during next two days representatives of various boutiques have been given open invitation to visit this exhibition to recognize the talent of our students.

            While speaking on this occasion, Prof. Sandhu appreciated the the efforts of Dr. Suninder Tung for promotion of the department and lauded the contribution of this department in the development of the University. He said that this department is rendering yeomen’s services to the women students to become self dependent by providing vocational training in various fields. He also appreciated the garments displayed in the exhibition by the students. He also congratulated the organizers. A large amount of garments and handicrafts prepared by the students of the department were displayed.
