TRANSFORMATION INTO MODEL ECHS POLYCLINIC AT JALANDHAR CANTT

Jalandhar, Jan. 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Vajra Corps has undertaken a number of projects to look after the welfare and well being of Veterans and their families. These include resolving of personal issues/grievances including one rank one pension (OROP), outreach programmes to address the problems of needy Veterans / Veernaris, provision of jobs and Quality Health Care                        In furtherance of above endeavors a totally refurbished and transformed Model ECHS Polyclinic was inaugurated at  Jalandhar Cantt on 27 Jan 2018. It includes facilities like­­­­­­­­­­ specialist doctor’s rooms, covered pathways, new dispensary, and a new physiotherapy centre. GOC, Vajra Corps     dedicated the Model ECHS Polyclinic to the veterans. Many senior veterans and serving personnel were present on the occasion.

            A similar project has also been sanctioned at ECHS Hoshiarpur under Stn HQ Jalandhar, 91 Sub Area to be executed in next 3 months. GOC VAJRA Corps has also started a project called “VE-Care” that is provision of emergency Medical facilities to Veterans on a single call on to a Army helpline number – 1904.
