Amritsar, May 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – After the launch of National Mission for Capacity Building of Bankers (NAMCABS-Phase 1) for financing MSME Sector on August 7, 2015 and its successful implementation, Reserve Bank of India has now moved to NAMCABS Phase II. The purpose of these workshops is to develop skills to MSME lending and to improve entrepreneurial sensitivity among the field level functionaries of specialised MSME branches of commercial banks. Mrs. Rachna Dikshit, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh and Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav, GM, RBI, Chandigarh will be Chief Guest while Mr. P.S. Chauhan GM, Punjab National Bank and Mr. K.S Sawhney DGM State Bank of India participate as Special Guest. Chandigarh Office has so far conducted 11 NAMCABS workshops at Gurgaon, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Hisar, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Karnal, Chandigarh, Faridabad and Bathinda covering all 44 districts coming under the jurisdiction of RO Chandigarh and trained around 875 Bankers.
This is the 12th Two days workshop at Amritsar in which 4 districts viz. Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Kapurthala will be covered. Officers from 25 Banks will be attending this workshop. Smt Rachna Dikshit, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh will inaugurate the workshop on May 22
In this workshop, topics like RBI guidelines, Credit Guarantee Architecture for MSME Financing and Recovery Management, Alternative Tech driven approaches to financing MSMEs like Big Data, Fintechs, P2P lending, TReDS, Movable Asset Based Financing and Role of CERSAI, Credit Monitoring, Revival and Rehabilitation of stressed Accounts and Recovery Management, Management of Sick Account, Credit Scoring and Rating Models for MSMEs, Assessment of term loans and composite loans, Effective Communication etc. are covered. Representatives from Industry Associations are also invited to interact with the participants. Entry and Exit quiz will be organised and the winners will be distributed prizes. The purpose of these workshops is to sensitise the bankers towards MSME enterprises to increase flow of credit to this sector.
