3rd Asian Conference on Chemosensors and imaging probes inaugurated at GNDU

Amritsar, Nov 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The 3^rd Asian Conference on Chemosensors and imaging probes (AsianChIP–2019) was inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev University. This conference is being organized by Department of Chemistry of the University.

         Professor Jonathan L Sessler, University of Texas, Austin USA inaugurated the conference. The conference made beginning with warm welcome address by conference convener, Prof. Manoj Kumar followed by a brief introductory note about the University by our worthy VC Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.

           In the inaugural session, Professor Jonatan Sessler discussed about hydrogels and other responsive materials to produce multidimensional information colour coding system using Texas sized molecular box. In an award lecture series, Dr. Ajayagosh explained about squaraines dyes and their applications in the detection of cations and neutral molecules. Dr. Amitava Das explained about methods to release the drug molecules or fluorescent marker at the targeted site of an organism (organelle specific) using stimuli responsive materials.
