
Amritsar, July 31 (Dharmendra Singh Rataul) – To seek blessings from almighty on beginning of new academic session, annual `Ardas Diwas’ was today held with religious fervor at historic Khalsa College. Golden Temple head Granthi Giani Jagtar Singh who arrived for the religious function stressed on the need to impart moral education to students along with conventional dissemination of knowledge.
Renowned hymn singer Bhai Gurdev Singh recited verses from Guru Granth Sahib while Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said the society is infested with evils and social values are diminishing and asked the youth to follow the path shown by our revered Gurus.
Chhina and Principal Khalsa College Dr.Mehal Singh honoured the head Granthis and other dignitaries and said the religious function was part of the College management’s tradition of seeking blessings of the almighty to start the new session. Other present during the occasion included joint secretary Ajmer Singh Heir, SS Mannan, Members Gurmohinder Singh. Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, Ajit Singh Basra, SS Sethi, Harminder Singh, GS Bhatti, SS Chhina, Principal SP K Dhillon, Princial Dr.Amarpal Singh, Registrar, Prof Devinder Singh, Dean, Prof Navreen Bawa, teachers and students in large number.
