An interactive programme on Internet Safety Cyber Security organised

Amritsar, July 22 (Punjab Post  Bureau) –  DAV Public School , Lawrence Road organised an interactive programme on Internet Safety Cyber Security today  in school premises. This programme was conducted by Mr. Tarun Sharma, Google Webrange India, Learing Limited.  It was attended by around 25 schools of Amritsar and as many as 500 students participated in it. The whole session offered an engaging way to cover the subject of E-Safety, and how to stay safe online. Mr.Tarun provided with the tips of Internet Safety keeping the password safe, pitfalls of sharing photographs and videos etc. He also laid stress on ‘with great power comes great responsibility’. He authenticated and also guided students how they can avoid frauds and can become online sleuth. The whole session was quite enriching. The facilitator provided room to the participants to vent out their views and also took their queries.

The Principal of the school, Dr. Neera Sharma thanked the guest and all the participants. She emphasised that cyber bullying has become a social concern and children are an easy target to it, so everyone should be aware of its pros and cons.
