Captain Should Sign Affidavit with the Farmers for Debt Waive off or Appolise – Majithia

Mattewal, October 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia lashing out at Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee president Captain Amrinder Singh said that Captain is misleading the debit ridden farmers in the name of KarzaMuktiYojna. aHe said that if there is any truth in this so called scheme then Captain should sign affidavit with the farmers for debt waive off otherwise he must appolise for doing such a sin.  Talking to media persons after distributing Rs 40 lakh Grant for the development works of village Khera Bala Chakk and Gadarjada, Mr. Majithia said that Captain is rubbing salt on the wounds of debt ridden farmers for petty political gains. He said that now Captain is shedding crocodile tears but when Congress was in power in centre and Punjab he did nothing for the welfare of the farmers.

Mr. Majithia said that Shiromani Akali Dal has always pleaded the case of special economic package for the Punjab at all possible forums, but Congress has always given a step motherly treatment to Punjab. He further said that Congress looted the natural resources of Punjab and gifted to others for petty political gains. He said that on the issues of Water, Punjabi speaking areas and giving Chandigarh to Punjab, the congress party has stood against the interests of Punjab. He said that how can the people of Punjab forget that this Congress Party threw Punjab into dark era of bloodshed for more than two decades for petty political gains. Others prominent present on the occasion includes Major Shivi, Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Goldy, Prof. Sarchand Singh Media Advisor and Sarpanches and panchayat members.
