DAV Public School organized Annual Prize Distribution Function

Amritsar, December 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road held its Annual Prize Distribution Function “PARWAZ” at Urvi Auditorium to boost the young aspirants who had distinguished themselves in sports and co – curricular activities. Sardar Gurveer Singh, Session Judge cum Chairman District Legal Services was the Chief Guest. Among the other dignitaries were Regional Director Punjab Zone  A Dr. Neelam  Kamra ji , Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar members of LMC, Madam Girish Bansal CJM cum Secretary District Legal Services Authority and Principal of various DAV Schools.

The function began with the floral welcome, lighting of the lamp and DAV Anthem. Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. Neelam Kamra formally welcomed the Chief Guest. In her address to children , she laid emphasis on the importance of planning and time management in student’s life. She motivated the students that with  their hard work, dedication and self determination they  will be able to achieve success in all the phases of their life.She also asserted that the  parents  should play a great role in the personality building of children and also conveyed the message of Honourable Arya Ratan Sh.Punam Suri President DAV CMC that  both teachers and parents should inculcate the best values in their children because these moral  values when followed help in smooth conduct,  well being and prosperity of a society.

Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school presented the school report emphasising the all round development of the child by balancing in class and out class life.  She acquainted the audience with the hallmarks set by the school in academics, sports, co – curricular activities and competitive exams. She also extended vote of thanks to the gracious gathering.

The Chief guest awarded the prizes and showered his blessings  on the children . He conveyed  his  heartiest felicitations to the parents of the prize winners. He had all praise for the DAVians and said that they always stand out from the rest whether it is sports, co – curricular activities or academics. In all 440 students were awarded  for their  outstanding performance in the field of sports and co – curricular activities and setting benchmarks in different events held at national and international levels.  A cultural bonanza of dance and music was also presented on the occasion. The students of the school showcased their prowess in an amazing patriotic dance.
