BBK DAV College for Women lifts GNDU Inter-College Handball Championship

Amritsar, December 30 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Handball team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Inter-College Handball Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College team gave a splendid show by defeating KMV College, Jalandhar & Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar. Six players of the college Ms. Ms. Anubir Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, Bimla Kaur, Rajbir Kaur and Shama participated in all India Intervarsity Championship held at Punjabi University, Patiala.  Team members who participated in championship were Ms. Anubir Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, Bimla Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, Shama, Manpreet Kaur, Harmanpreet Kaur, Anita, Simran Kaur, Naseebo, Ramandeep Kaur, Kuljinder Kaur, Sandeep Kaur & Daljit Kaur. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, Advocate Vipan Bhasin, Member, LMC & Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. Dr. Walia added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
