Inspired by Aujla Dr. Gurmohan will sponsor education & marriage expenses of one daughter of the martyr

Tarn Taran, May 8 (Punjab Post Bureau) – MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla along with Chandigarh based Nephrologist Dr. Gurmohan Singh, Jaspal Singh Sandhu and others visited the family of Naib Subedar Paramjit Singh who was killed by the Pakistani army along the Line of Control in Poonch Sector. Inspired by Aujla Dr. Gurmohan Singh planned to sponsor the education and the marriage expenses of one of the daughter the 3 children of the martyr.

It is pertinent to mention here that DC of Kullu also offered to sponsor one of the 2 daughters. Explaining about his inspiration Dr. Gurmohan told that he conceived a dream 33 years ago in 1984 to adopt the families of the soldiers and policemen who were in killed in trains and railway station but that couldn’t materialise due to lack of funds and other issues.

Dr. Gurmohan who has already sponsored a dalit girl in Chandigarh, offered to sponsor the study of one daughter in the best school in Chandigarh Amritsar or any other school of family’s choice. He also proposed to open a bank account in the name of Simardeep and deposit first instalment for the daughter’s expenses.

Sh. Aujla said that martyr Paramjit Singh will be remembered alongwith those who laid their lives for the country and it is an honor for them to be of some help to the family. He said that the brave hearts of our nation are standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed personnel of India and this should stand as an example for Pakistan. He said army and state government is doing their part but it is our moral duty to stand shoulder to shoulder with the families of martyrs. He said Dr. Gurmohan has always been helpful in such causes.

Dr. Gurmohan said that martyr laid his life for our nation and it is our duty to help his dependants. Dr. Gurmohan’s daughter Seerat and wife also joined his father during the visit to the martyr’s family. Seerat is wife of Gurfateh Singh owner of Adesh Group of Institutes.
