Akhil Arora of DAV Public School Gold Medals in Badminton Tournament

Amritsar, December 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Akhil Arora of DAV Public School Lawrence Road a prodigy in Badminton added yet another feather to his cap by winning Gold Medals Under–15 and 17 category in an open Tournament held  at Ferozepur from December 24 to 26. About 425 entries were received in the Ferozepur tournament from different states. He was also awarded a cash prize of Rs 21,000/- along with two winners Trophies. He took up to this passion at the age of six and has proved his mettle by winning the Amritsar District Championship thrice both in singles and doubles and twice in doubles Punjab State Championship. Besides this he has won numerous other badminton tournaments. He has Eight hours of rigorous training everday and is taking his coaching from Chetan Anand Badminton Academy Hyderabad.
