Ms. Sandeep Kaur, a research scholar of Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar has been Recently,awarded the best poster prize. She presented her research paper entitled with ‘Restorative role of Cassia fistula leaves ethyl acetate fraction to Thioacetamide induced hepatic toxicity’ in recently held ‘International Conference on Advances in Cellular, Genomic and Epigenomic Insights on Environmental Mutagenesis and Health’ organised by School of Life Sciences, Manipal University along with EMSI.
She received the certificate from journal ‘Mutation Research – Genetic Toxicology and Environmental Mutagenesis’, a cash prize of Rs 2000 and a book from Elsevier publishing house sponsored by Prof. Siegfried Knasmüller renowned scientist and Head of Environmental Toxicology group, Medical University of Vienna, Institute of Cancer Research, Austria. Presently, Ms. Sandeep Kaur is pursuing her Ph. D under the supervision of Dr. Satwinderjeet Kaur (Professor and Head) in the Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Presently, the group is focused on research related to cancer chemoprevention using natural products.
