Mumbai, June 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The woman social organization ‘Radhika’ organized a 2-day grand exhibition-cum-sale at Evershine Mall,Link Road, Malad (West), Mumbai on June 13 and 14. The event was inaugurated by the affectionate and caring Shri Radhe Guru Maa. Asha Vinod Podaar and Babita Agrawal, the founder and promoters of this social organization ‘Radhika’ gave a warm welcome to Shri Radhe Guru Maa by applying the ritualistic ‘tilak’and offering ‘aarti’ and showering flowers over her. Even religious ‘bhajans’ were rendered for her making the whole atmosphere a spiritual and religious affair.
After lighting the traditional lamp, Shri Radhe Guru Maa enlightened all those who were present with her scriptures on the devotional relations between Radha, Krishna and Rukmani. Thereafter Shri Radhe Guru Maa visited all the stalls and blessed them. Shri Radhe Guru Maa donated a cheque of Rs. One Lakh to the organization from Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust which has been carrying out social activities for the last 27 years and providing social welfare for old age homes, orphanages, cow shelters, employment skills for women in rural areas and others.
The social organization ‘Radhika’ has women members in its team. Apart from the founder and promoters Asha Vinod Podaar and Babita Agrawal, they have 5 committee members and 115 members. Nobody holds any portfolios so as to avoid discrimination. By organizing these kinds of event, the organization, spends the earned money for the needy. They even provide free computer education to the poor including providing help to orphanages and old age homes.
Recently, the organization installed a bore-well in Palghar, Wada, where women had to walk many kilometers to bring water. Woman activist Asha Vinod Podaar, the social organization ‘Radhika’s’ founder and promoter said, “When we invited Shri Radhe Guru Maa and informed her that we are all women members and work for the cause of women and would blessed with your kind and holy presence to empower and encourage women folk. She immediately agreed to come and inspire women. Her presence made the whole atmosphere pious and we are really grateful to her.”
