“Education is Liberation, knowledge is Power”
Amritsar, April 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Concerning the NEP 2020, a seminar was conducted by SGHPS G. T Road 
run under the aegis of Chief Khalsa Diwan in the school auditorium for its teachers to mentor them about the working model of NEP 2020 and strengthen the existing practices at the middle school level.
The session began with the welcome note and introduction of the eminent Resource Person Mrs. Shabnam Sharma, Principal DDI School who is a renowned name in the field of education for her expertise and experience over 30 years and is an expert in conducting various building programs for mentoring the teachers. Principal Dr. DharamVeer Singh, after the formal welcome, in his keynote address emphasized the need to introduce and implement a sea of changes across all levels of education in India. Member Incharge Prof. Hari Singh in his speech talked about the Indian values and cultural aspects which are an integral part of the new policy. The seminar accentuated adapting different teaching styles alongwith the need to adopt an inter-disciplinary approach in the classroom to provide children with experimental learning and critical thinking skills. Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, President CKD through his address said that the implementation is the key and the recommendation made in the policy document need to be followed up. He further added that the aim of education should be to make the students Global Indians. The Resource Person was honoured by President Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Member Incharge Prof. Hari Singh and Principal Dr. DharamVeer Singh. All the participants were filled with new zeal to start working on its implementaion in their own sphere.
