Amritsar, April 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Khalsa College Women in collaboration with Sunstone Eduversity Gurgaon (Haryana) organized a webinar on “New Education Policy-2020 (NEP). The webinar was organized by PG Department of Commerce and Management and focused on exciting advancements in the New Education policy.
Expert speaker Dr. Atul Sharma emphasised upon the employability in present circumstances with the help of skill based learning. Advancements in the modern classroom and latest methodologies of flipped learning, collaborative learning, personalized learning and live learning classes were the other highlights of the NEP.
He asked the teachers to prioritize active learning for a better understanding of students since new approaches to teaching strategies widen the teaching tool kit compared to just a blackboard and chalk. He stated that teaching is a challenging profession and lack of resources and workload, individuality of students and keeping things fresh and interesting are major challenges and constraints in effective and meaningful teaching.
KCW Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur said the main aim of the webinar is to move ahead with the new education reform which provides an entirely different angle of teaching and learning as modern teaching methods do not treat all students at the same level of their understanding ability, unlike the conventional method of teaching.
