English Language Training Workshop Held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, 24 March ( Punjab Post  Bureau) -DAV Public School Lawrence Road  organized a two day English Language Training workshop from 22 and 24 March , 2014 for the English faculty. The resource person was Mr. Richard George  a Senior Trainer from Words Worth Language Training Program by PAN India Company.  He familiarized the teachers  about the working and application of the software installed for the students from class III to class X for the English subject. He dealt with all the intricacies and  technical aspects of the software.  31 teachers from the English department attended the workshop . The workshop was very informative and interactive. The teachers took keen interest in the training session. After the interactive session , he also conducted a practical session with the teachers. The teachers were guided to create their own login ID’s and prepare tasks for the students. The audio – video part was also dealt with. Overall, the training programme was a great success. The Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma thanked the resource person for his time and presented a token of gratitude to him. She said that e – teaching has become a part of our education system and teachers must be trained for the use of this technology . Education is being globalised  and for the benefit of the students such  workshops are must for the teachers to keep them updated. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women and the Manager of the school, Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate , Amritsar also said that it was the need of the hour to train teachers so that they can  apply new methods  in their teaching.
