GNDU Officers’ Association thanks Chief Minister for appointing Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu as VC of GNDU

Amritsar, Dec. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Officers’ Association organized retirement party in honour of its retired/retiring members Mrs. Harjeet Kaur, Mrs. Shashi Bala, Mr. Basant Singh, Mr. Surinderjit Singh and Mr. Satnam Singh. University authorities applauded contribution made by these officers in the overall development of the University. Officers’ Association President Dr. Rajesh Kalia and Secretary Tirath Singh also used the occasion to thank the hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab Capt. Amrinder Singh for rewarding the University with a renowned academician Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu as Vice-Chancellor. His vast experience as an academician and Secretary, University Grants Commission would help University to scale new heights. A slew of initiatives taken by the Vice-Chancellor since his joining to enhance propriety in the functioning of the system was also applauded by the Association. Officers’ Association also thanked the Registrar and Vice-Chancellor for promotion of System Managers and hoped that other long pending promotions of different cadres would also happen soon. While addressing the Association, Vice-Chancellor urged the officers to play pro-active role in the functioning of University.Dr. Kalia on behalf of the officers assured the Vice-Chancellor of full co-operation to his future endeavors. Mrs. Renu Puri, Vice-President, Mr. H.S Tina Joint Secretary, Mr. Naresh Nandan, Treasurer and all the Executive Members of the Officers’ Association were also present on the occasion.
