Congress Protest against Kot Kapura incident and police violence

Amritsar, Oct. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  DCC(R) Amritsar burnt an effigy of Badals for having hidden hand in Kot Kapura incident and use of violent means by police to handle fragile situation. DCC(R) president Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that Badal is RSS’ selected man for implementing their fascist agenda. He alleged that whenever some policy by Badals starts wrecking havoc on Punjab, Badals use such methods to hide their failure. Aujla said that farmers were protesting against pesticide scam, low procurement price of rice and against the decision by Akal Takhat Jathedar. To divert the attention of media and commoners Badals created this situation at Kot Kapura resulting in loss of life and property. He futher said that Badals again used their de facto Jathedarship to revert back the decision. Aujla added that Badal has played similar cards during 1984, Punjab water issues etc. which resulted in loss of many lives. Aujla condemned the sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib and demanded that this entire scene be investigated into and culprits be punished.
