
Amritsar, October 27 (Punjab Post Bureau)- With the aim of cambating deadly diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya , team of doctors comprising Dr.Madan Mohan District Malaria officer and Dr.Ram Mehta District Health officer from Civil Surgeon office visited DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar. They addressed and acquainted the students and the teachers with symptoms, preventive and remedial measures to be taken to avoid an outbreak of such disease. They also encouraged the students to spread awareness about diseases among the masses and told them to keep their surroundings clean and prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. Pamphlets with instructions and precautionary measures were distributed among the students. Dr.Neera Sharna, Principal of the school thanked the doctors for giving valuable tips to the children and said that prevention is always better than cure and urged that hygienic surroundings are less likely to breed mosquitoes.
