Amritsar, Nov. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Reading is something that can be celebrated on any day, at any time. It helps develop the habit of patience and also stimulates the mind. On ‘World Reading Day’ – a worldwide event to encourage children to read and think about all the different cultures, was celebrated in Spring Blossoms School. The activity of ‘One Nation Reading Together’- an international initiative in which millions of children, parents and teachers around the globe spent time to celebrate the importance and joy of reading together, was organized. Children were provided with age apt reading material at school itself. They selected the books of their choice from the school library. They enjoyed reading along with their peers and teachers. To mark this fun-filled activity children aligned themselves to make words ‘Read For Fun’ and presented an attractive formation.
Principal, Mrs. Anupama Mehra encouraged the children to read books. She said “Children are made readers on the laps of their parents. There are many little ways to enlarge a child’s world. Love for books is the best of all”, she added.
