Orientation Programme for Teachers – Inaugural Ceremony held

Amritsar, Sept. 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the aegis of DAV Centre of Academic Excellence,  DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, hosted an Orientation Programme for teachers on 13^th & 15^th September 2015 in school premises. As many as 50 teachers of IX & X  from different DAV Schools (Amritsar Region) participated in the four workshops.

The workshop was inagurated by Director PS – I and aided schools Sh.J.P.Shoor ji and Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra who are the guiding force behind this innovative approach, which was followed by floral welcome, lighting of the lamp and DAV Anthem. Dr. (Mrs.) Neera Sharma formally welcomed the guests. Sh. J.P Shoor addressed the teachers and motivated them to update themselves with the latest technology and also enhance their growth. He also acknowledged the hard work put in by the teachers and attaining great results. He also authenticated that it is only because of the moral character and commitment of teachers that the society flourishes.

Regional Director Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra praised the school for organising the workshops meticulously as they are a good interactive sessions where the teachers share  their ideas, skills and technologies which go a long way in the development of teachers .

Mrs. Reman Sharma , Supervisor of  IX & X , co- ordinated the ceremony and related the ethos of the workshop with the sayings from Vedas which were really enriching and inspiring. The skilfully planned workshops aimed at enhancing the teaching – learning process. The resource person were Mrs. Sukhdev Kaur and Mrs. Preetinderjit Kaur for English, Mr. Bhatti and Mrs. Surinderjit Kaur for Punjabi, Mrs, Surinder Pal, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur, Mrs Anjana Sharma, Mrs. Sangeeta Popli and Mr. Vikas for Science,  Mrs.Kanika Mehra for Retail. Sh. J.P.Shoor and Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated everyone and also blessed the teachers for the success of wokshop.
