Renowned Mathematician Addressed DAV Public School Students

Amritsar, January 11 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , were addressed by

an internationally renowned mathematician, Prof. Dr. Gunter Leugering from Germany. He talked about importance of Mathematics as a subject in building a bright future.  He motivated students to take Mathematics as it is not only needed for sciences but it also provides access to other undergraduate courses.

He stressed that in today’s world of rapid change, particularly in terms of technological change, the demand for mathematical skills is increasing .He encouraged students to take interest in the subject as it will enhance their overall logical and analytical skills. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school, thanked Prof. Gunter for inspiring the students . She said that it is usually seen that students have a phobia for Mathematics but she added that now the subject is dealt in a very interesting way in the classes. She also encouraged the students to take the subject seriously.
