BBK Dav College Organizes Quiz-Cum-Seminar in Collaboration with NSSO

Amritsar, March 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Economics of BBK DAV College for Women organized a Quiz-cum-Seminar in collaboration with National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO), Field Operation Division, Government of India in the college premises. While interacting with students, Mr. M.K Kaul, Assistant Director, NSSO threw light on the functioning of NSSO and made students aware of various job avenues in NSSO. Mrs. Poonam Kohli, Head, Department of Economics gave a power-point presentation on NSSO. Besides, a quiz was also conducted on NSSO and its departments. Winners of the quiz were given prizes. A documentary on the history and functioning of NSSO was also shown to the students. Applauding the efforts of the department, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that such programmes are very useful and informative for the students & play an important role in grooming the students holistically and, thus, enabling them to achieve the best.

Mr. Pritpal, Senior Statistical Officer, NSSO, Mr. Jatinder Kumar, Jr. Statistical Officer, NSSO, Mr. Swaran Singh, Field officer, NSSO & Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Mr. Rohit Kumar, M. Pawan Kumar and Mr. Piyush,  other officers from NSSO Department,  along with faculty members and students, attended the programme.
