Amritsar, Sept. 24 (Manjit Kaur)- A capacity building program for teachers on Life Skills was organised by Crest Counselling in the auditorium of Sri Guru Hakrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G. T. Road run under the banner of Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society. The workshop was a CBSE initiative and was conducted by Mrs. Ravneet Kaur former principal of JMC school, Pathankot. The purpose of this workshop was to familiarise the teachers with the different areas under which Life Skills and Attitude and Values are judged. The resource person gave an insight into different domains of life skills- empathy, self awareness, critical thinking and interpersonal relationship. Through interactive activities participants were taught how to evaluate students life skills. The workshop was indeed an eye opener as it cleared doubts and brought to light many aspects important for fair and affective implementation of CCE. Director/Principal Dr. DharamVeer Singh appreciated the efforts of CBSE for making such workshops compulsory for teachers so that teachers can well equip with the tools for judging the life skills.
The resource person was honoured by member incharge S. Harminder Singh, Director /Principal Dr. DharamVeer Singh, Headmistress Mrs. Kawalpreet Kaur and Supervisor Mrs. Manju. All the teachers dispersed in a great gratitude for the enermous enrichment.
