Gndu Cultural Contingent shines at National Level

Amritsar, 5 April (Punjab Post Bureau) – Guru Nanak Dev University has once again showcased its excellence on the national stage by securing the 2nd runners up position at the 37th Inter University National Youth Festival 2023-24. The festival held at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, witnessed spirited participation from over 2200 students representing 109 Universities across India under the banner of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Dr. Amandeep Singh Incharge Director Youth Welfare of the University expressed pride in the achievements of the GNDU contingent, highlighting their remarkable performances across various categories. The University clinched the championship title in Music Items and secured the 1st Runners up position in the dance category. Event Wise Positions of the University are Classical Instrumental (Percussion)- 1st; Classical Instrumental (Non Percussion): 1st; Western Vocal Solo: 1st; Western Instrumental Solo: 1st; Western Group Song: 1st; Light Vocal Solo: 1st; Group Song Indian: 1st; Folk Dance: 1st; Skit: 1st; Mimicry: 1st; Rangoli: 1st; Classical Vocal Solo: 2nd; Classical Dance: 2nd; Collage: 3rd; Cultural Procession: 3rd. The University fielded a contingent of 44 talented individuals who competed in 16 diverse events, contributing significantly to the overall success of GNDU.
