Amritsar, Sept 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – At different functions organised in the city to commemorate Teacher’s Day 6 teachers including the Principal of DAV Public School Lawrence Road were honored by various agencies for their commendable achievements in the field of education. Dr. Neera Sharma the Principal of the school was awarded at a scintillating function by Sahodaya Schools Complex and by the honourable DC of Amritsar at a function organised at Sada Pind. She was awarded for her outstanding contribution to the profession. Alongwith her Mrs.Raman Dhawan also received the Best Teacher Award from Sahodaya Schools.
Dr. Priyanka Sharma made the school proud by being the one to be chosen by the honourable Vice President of India, M.Venkaiah Naidu to write a calligraphic message on the occasion of 100 years of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The event has been registered in the Government Archives for ever. She has also received India’s Best Teacher Award that was conferred to her by Lovely Professional University for being the most inspiring teacher. She had also received Influenctial Women Award – 2019 on International Women’s Day and the Most Empowered Women Award – 2019 by Punjab Natshala, Amritsar.
Dr. Resham Sharma received a Commendation and Appreciation Certificate and a letter from NITI Aayog Govt. of India New Delhi for her mentorship, support and creating an Innovation Hub in the form of Atal Tinkering Lab in the school .
Mrs. Neeru Mehta and Mrs. Parminder Hundal was awarded by Bharat Vikas Parishad on Teachers’ Day for their excellent efforts and work in the field of Literature. They received the Best Teacher Award.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar sent their felicitations for the teachers and said that they were proud of all the teachers for putting in their best for the betterment of the students.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school said that recognition gives wings to a person to fly and reach for higher goals. Congratulating her staff she added that all the teachers of the school work hard and was dedicated to their profession. She said “If students make a school them it is the teacher who grooms them for life”.
