Seminar on NEP at SGHPS School G.T Road

Amritsar, August (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a bid to deliver first hand knowledge to the schools for special NEP 2020 a seminar was organised by Goyal Brothers Prakashan for Sahodaya Schools Complex Amritsar at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School G. T Road.

                     The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Usha Sharma, Prof. Elementaryy Education NCERT Delhi. It was attended by principals and primary teachers of about 64 schools. The day began with formal speech by Principal/Director Dr. DharamVeer Singh in which he welcomed the resource person and other guests. The resource person started with the introduction of NEP 2020 which replaces the National Policy on Education 1986. She apprised the audience that NEP is a comprehensive frame work for elementary education to higher education as well as vocational training in both rural and urban India. Dr. Usha futher talked about FLN and introduced the launch of Vidhya Pravesh and NIPUN Bharat in July 2021.

                 Dr. Usha discussed about school readiness programme on FLN mission as a necessary part of school curriculum in India with the implementation of Vidya Pravesh/Nipun Bharat. It was followed by an interactive session in which various queries were put forth by the audience which were answered to the best satisfication of all. All the teachers were given participation certificates.

                   Dr. Dharam Veer Singh President Sahodaya Schools Amritsar and Principal / Director Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School Amritsar honoured the resource person Mrs. Usha Sharama and Sh. Dinesh Goyal Director Goyal Brothers Prakashan. The day ended with vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Anjana Gupta Principal DAV International School Amritsar followed by recitation of national anthem.
