Project of Rs. 35.5 lakh sanctioned to GNDU’s Assistant Professor

Amritsar, December 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A research project has been granted to Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor (Contractual), Department of Mathematics Guru Nanak Dev University to develop efficient estimators of population parameters of sensitive study character in survey sampling using randomized response technique.

The project is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, under WISE PDF Scheme that has sanctioned Rs.35.5 lakh to carry out the research work under the mentorship of Dr. Lovleen Kumar Grover, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar.

Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean Acadeimc Affairs said that this research will help in the development of estimators for population parameters of sensitive variables that may be used for government policy making decisions.
