Old diesel auto drivers should take benefit of cash subsidy of Rs.1.40 lacs before December 31

Amritsar, December 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Project Incharge & Working Commissioner Municipal Corporation Hardeep Singh said that ‘Raahi Project’ is best option for old diesel auto drivers to change their old diesel autos with modern & new technology Electric Autos with a cash subsidy of Rs.1.40 lacs & to take benefits of other social welfare schemes. The term of smart city mission is going to be completed  by June 2024 and  government is also planning to stop  benefit of this cash subsidy of Rs.1.40 lacs after 31^st December 2023 in view of the wide spread popularity of E-autos. He told that there is no other scheme in the country where any subsidy is given by the government on the purchase of any vehicle and it is only under ‘Raahi Projec’t that this facility is available. Moreover Amritsar smart city Ltd. has also not taken any steps for enforcement after the meeting of Diesel Auto Union Pardhans with Deputy Commissioner Amritsar & Police Department in September 2023 wherein they made a request not to impound the diesel autos till December 2023 and they will change their diesel autos with E-Autos very soon. He appealed to all the old diesel auto drivers to immediately book e-autos of their choices and take benefit of subsidy of Rs.1.40 lacs before 31^st December 2023. The company, to who work order has been given to install EV charging stations will install its first EV station in the city very soon and with this long pending demand of auto drivers for EV station will be met with.
