Commissioner Harpreet Singh reviewed progress work of Fatahpur Gaushala Project on Chabbal Road

Amritsar, February 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Commissioner Harpreet Singh took round of Fatahpur Dairy complex and reviewed the progress work of Fatahpur Gaushala Project. He also visited C & D waste plant complex. S.E Sandeep Singh MOH Dr. Rama and other officials were also present there.

Commissioner Harpreet Singh said in a press release that Municipal Corporation Amritsar had proposed to construct one Gaushala, veterinary  Hospital and Dog sterilization center on Municipal land measuring 1.80 acres  near Fatahpur Dairy complex, where 700 cows are to be protected and for their health and other issues one veterinary hospital is also being constructed. Apart from it, One dog sterilization center is also going to be constructed. Total cost of project is 2.40 crores and the work has been allotted to M/s Gagandeep Associates.  Commissioner said directions have been issued to the concerned department to prepare an estimate for construction of one small STP plant near this complex so that the waste of this complex can be put in drain after proper treatment. He said Municipal Corporation Amritsar has sufficient funds under head of Cow Cess and for this noble cause there will be  no shortage of funds. He said the contractor has promised to complete the project within 4 months.

Commissioner also visited C & D plant complex, situated on Fatahpur Dairy complex area and directed the civil wing to develop the complex properly. He also directed civil wing and auto workshop authorities to start an special drive  on Saturday & Sunday and depute machinery on roads for clearance of all the debris of C & D waste lying outside premises of the buildings especially on the main roads of the city.

He appealed to the citizens to cooperate municipal staff in better deliverance of civic amenities and not to throw their garbage, C & D waste of their buildings on the roads & streets, to make the city near, clean & green.
