Amritsar, April 4 Punjab Post Bureau) – KAUSA Trust proudly hosted an art exhibition featuring the talented students from the fine art department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya also known as HMV College Jalandhar at KT:Kalã Museum here.
The inauguration ceremony graced by Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The esteemed Chief Guest commended the Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen for her vision in bringing this exhibition to KT:Kalã Amritsar. He lauded KAUSA Trust for its unwavering support in fostering such artistic endeavours in the region and was delighted to learn about KT:Kala provision of free exhibition halls for artists.
Rajesh Raina Secretary of KT:Kala extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, and students of HMV College. He highlighted KT’s ongoing initiatives in promoting art and culture and reiterated the organization’s commitment to the cause.
The Principal presented a bouquet and a captivating painting to the Chief Guest, while Dr. Neeru Bharti Sharma Head of the Fine Arts Department along with faculty members Dr. Shailender Kumar, Ms. Chahat, Ms. Twinkle, and Ms. Manpreet Kaur graced the occasion.
Director Brajesh Jolly announced the display of over 90 artworks until April 6, 2024, encompassing themes ranging from religion and social issues to landscapes and compositions. The exhibition showcases the diverse talents of the students, with many opting for acrylic colours on canvas while others exploring mixed media techniques.
The event was attended by approximately 50 students from HMV College. Dr. Lalit Gopal Parashar, Narinder Singh, Ms Mala Chawla, Ms. Jyoti Khanna, Ms. Gursharan Kaur, Ms. Bharti Malhotra, Dr. H.S. Grover, Prof. Naresh Modgil and Ms. Sapna alongside numerous distinguished personalities who added to the grandeur of the occasion.
