DAV celebrates 74th Independence Day

Amritsar, August 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On the occasion of India 74th Independence Day, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar hoisted the national flag as mark of respect to the nation. The event witnessed the presence of teaching and non teaching members of the college along with NCC cadets. This initiative was taken to remember warriors who fought bravely for freedom struggle.

                 During his address Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar conveyed his greetings to all the staff members. He added that this year the theme of 74th  Independence Day is Atam Nirbhar Bharat  and he added that in view of the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, we are  still celebrating this event by following all preventive measures such as maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks, proper sanitization and avoiding large congregations. We pay homage to our great leaders and those who fought for India’s freedom in the past every year. Patriotic songs were also played.

                 During this occasion, Dr. Darshandeep Arora, Vice Principal, Prof Meenu Aggarwal, Administrator, Dr. Anita Sekri, Dr. BB Yadav, Staff Secreatry, Prof Parveen Kumari, Bursar were also present during the event.
