Inter-Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Dev University

Amritsar, 5 November (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Inter-Zonal Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University commenced with a vibrant inauguration on yesterday. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean of Student’s Welfare, amidst great enthusiasm and fervor. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Incharge of the Youth Welfare Department, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed teachers, coaches, and talented student-artists from various zones. This exciting festival, spanning three days, promises an array of diverse cultural and artistic competitions, showcasing the incredible talents of the youth.

Prof. Bedi said that the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival provides an excellent platform for the university’s talented students to display their artistic and cultural prowess. It fosters healthy competition, promotes cultural diversity, and encourages the development of a wide range of skills. This event promises to be a celebration of creativity and talent.

The festival opened with a display of art and culture at Dashmesh Auditorium, featuring the vibrant and energetic Bhangra and Folk Orchestra performances. Simultaneously, Guru Nanak Bhawan witnessed the magic of classical music and vocal solos with Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), Classical Vocal Solo, and Vaar Singing competitions. The Architecture Department Stage was transformed into a hub of creativity with Painting on the Spot, Cartooning, Collage, Poster Making, Clay Modeling, On-the-Spot Photography, and Installation contests, showcasing the artistic flair of the participants.
