DAV Observes Hiroshima Day

Amritsar, Aug. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau)- DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , observed Hiroshima Day yesterday in remembrance of the people who died due to an atom bomb, which was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on August 6,1945  and a few days later another bomb was dropped on the city of  Nagasaki. These bombings destroyed the two cities and rendered lakhs of people diseased and homeless. In the morning assembly the students took pledge against war and use of nuclear power for destruction in any way. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, and Manager of the school  Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College Hathi Gate said that War is not an answer to any conflict. . With increasing insecurities at the global level we need to develop mutual understanding and world peace. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that there is no justification for war. We must all work together for global  peace and brotherhood.
