KCSSS bags top positions in PSEB allied competitions  

Such competitions sharpen students’ skill- Chhina

 Amritsar, Aug.  22 (Dharmnder Rataul)-  Khalsa College Senior Secondary School (KCSSS) students bagged top positions in three-day long allied educational competitions organized by Punjab School Educational Board (PSEB) from August 20 to August 22. The host school bagged first positions in painting, shabad recitals, folk singing and handwriting and won accolades. Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina along with PSEB project officer Parminder Kaur gave away the prizes on the final day of the tournaments and stated that the aim of the program is to inculcate the sense of competition and provide opportunity to the budding artists on the stage. The students showcased their talents in various categories during the competition, said Chhina.

           He added that it is primary duty of the teachers to identify the talent amongst the students and then chisel the same to bring out that before the world. He said apart from the traditional education, it is important that the students are given platform to show their talents in various other allied educational fields. School Principal Nirmal Singh Bhangu meanwhile encouraged the students to take part in the competitions as he honoured Chhina and PSEB officials.
