DAV Observes Vigilance Awareness Week

PPNJ3110201902Amritsar, Oct 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To observe Vigilance Awareness week DAV Public School  Lawrence  Road organised a lecture on the theme ‘Integrity – a way of life’ by Parampal Singh, SSP Vigilance Bureau Range Amritsar. The main objective of the program was to create awareness among the students about the guidelines and laws made to check corruption at every level. Dr. Neelam Kamra Regional officer Punjab Zone–A graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries present were Harpreet Singh DSP Vigilance Bureau Range Amritsar and DSP Tejinder Pal Singh Vigilance Bureau Unit Amritsar.

While addressing the students Parampal Singh explained – what exactly corruption is its impact on the society and how it can be curbed. He urged that there is due urgency of active participation of youth in such events, so as to build a corruption free society. His right guidance and diretions were an eye opener for the students. In the end he asked the students to take a pledge with an objective to raise public awareness and to make citizens conscious of their right to live in a corruption free society.

The students and the faculty members were highly inspired by his presentation. The whole session was quite effective and enriching.

Dr. J.P Shoor Director PS–I and Aided Schools appreciated the efforts of the school for organizing such events and stressed that corruption affects the well being of individuals, families and communities. He informed the students about their role in eradicating corruption by treading the path of virtues and sweeping away vices from their life.

Regional Officer, Punjab Zone–A Dr. Neelam Kamra thanked  the guests and while  addressing the students said that corruption plays a negative role in the growth of the country and gives a bad name to it. She asked the students to make their country morally and ethically strong by following the virtues of honesty and justice.

Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school said that such lectures provide essential information to the students and optimize their thinking. She asked the students to come forward and be the whistle blowers and say no to any kind of corruption going around.
