SGPC President releases result of Dharmik Prikhya

1,183 students to receive scholarship worth Rs 25 lakh- Advocate Dhami

 Amritsar, August 22 (Punjab Posrt Bureau) – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami today released the results of annual Dharmik Prikhya (religious exams) of the session 2021-22, conducted by SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee.

               As per the released result, 1,183 students will be awarded a scholarship amount of Rs 25,40,000 besides token of appreciation with certificate.

               While releasing the result, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Dharmik Prikhya holds great importance to connect the young generation with Sikh history, Sikh Rehat Maryada (code of conduct) and Sikh principles.

               He said thousands of students participate in religious exams organised by Dharam Prachar Committee, and the meritorious students are awarded with a scholarship amount. He said this year over Rs 25 lakh will be awarded as scholarship to students.

                He said during the 2021-22 session, 36,506 students had participated in religious exams in four categories, of which, 1,183 secured the scholarship. He said the students who secured first three positions in every category will be awarded with special prize money.

               Advocate Dhami appealed that the management of schools and colleges should come forward to make students participate in religious exams, so that maximum students and youth can get knowledge of history and heritage.

                 Present on this occasion included OSD to SGPC President Satbir Singh, assistant secretary media Kulwinder Singh, assistant secretary of Dharam Prachar Committee Balwinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, in-charge of Dharmik Prikhya Prof. Sukhdev Singh and Major Singh.
