PPN2802201607PPN2802201608Amritsar, Feb. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – TAISI, The Association of International Schools of India, ventured to North India for the first time. This two day conference including keynote speakers from various countries, and educators from across the nation put their heads together for innovative approaches to elementary, midschool and high school education. This was an opportunity for schools in Amritsar and Punjab to participate in this event and share best practices of international schools. From Amritsar, Miri Piri Academy(MPA), Khalsa College Public School, Cambridge International and others from the state of Punjab were present as well. MPA was appreciated for their massive participation and energising the event with a bhangra performance. Reknowned International Academicians Tania Lattanzio Ashish Trivedi and Judith Fabian conducted the workshops on elementary, middle & high school engagement giving valuable insights to the educators on new teaching methodologies. TAISI has also shown its willingness to have specific sessions for teachers on aspects of learning from time to time. The TAISI board meeting was also held concurrent to the conference.  Ms. Anu Monga founder chairperson TAISI said that their Northbound endeavour to Amritsar has had the highest number of delegates participating ever. She expressed that Amritsar was a city with a heart and a soul, and the participants experience was beyond learning, and included inner peace at this destination. The endeavour was facilitated by Dilbir Foundation (DF) & Divine Destination. President of DF Gunbir Singh said that it was endearing for him to see the joy that the delegates expressed with their three day visit. Even more satisfying is the opportunity of innovative academic pursuit becoming available to this part of the country. Our exhibit of Green School Sustainable School was well received by the international schools. We also look at this TAISI event as a new beginning for MICE tourism in this city as well.
