Amritsar, September 21(Punjab Post Bureau) – To commemorate the Birth anniversary of Er. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the Engineer’s Day was celebrated at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET). An E-Conclave ‘Advancement in Engineering Career Post “Covid-19” was organized KCET–IIC under MHRD and Institution Innovation Council and AICTE during which distinguished speakers including Rajiv Sajdeh, CII Chairman, Dr. Shweta, an expert on Intellectual Property Rights, Dipanshu Parashar , young Cyber Security Author, Er. Harmandeep Kaur from Capegemini) and Sajan Aneja, an Entrepreneur gave their views., said Dr. Manju Bala, Director, who congratulated all faculty members, students and staff on Engineer’s Day.
She said that engineering is not about learning. It is about creating and implementing the innovative ideas for the betterment of society. She also said that it is the time that engineers move towards startups and entrepreneurships so that they can create jobs. Sajdeh highlighted the importance of engineering in various sectors viz: government, public and private sectors. He shared his own experience of the industrial sector with the audience. Dr. Shweta made students aware about IPR for business startups and patents Dipanshu Parashar shared the knowledge of importance of cyber security and coding.
Sajan Aneja shared his journey as an engineer and also guided students about various schemes provided by the government for startups while Harmandeep gave the insight of the corporate world and what skills one should possess for being a successful person. Later, Dr. Mohinder Sangita (Dean Academics) extended a vote of thanks to all speakers and thanked the organizing committee for the successful event. Organizing Committee Dr. Ripin Kohli (Dean, R&C), Dr. Jugraj Singh (Deputy Dean, T&P) and P. Prasant (Deputy Dean, I&C) presented the token of appreciation to Guest Speakers.
