CKDIMT Organized Seminar on Personality Development

Amritsar, Oct. 8 (Manjit Kaur) – CKD Institute of Management and Technology (CKDIMT) organized Personality Development seminar for MBA students as a part of its continued commitment to provide employability skills training to its students. Ms. Megha Seth, Zonal HR Head from Videocon Telecom and renowned motivational speaker was the resource person. She discussed at length three important integral parts of personality in terms of how we need to appear, communicate and act. She further elaborated on corporate grooming, body language, effective communication and various facets of business etiquettes etc. Program was very well structured and conducted in an interactive manner.

Dr. Baljinder Singh, Member-in-Charge of CKDIMT said, “Personality Development programs should be made an integral part of the course curriculum because academic skills contribute only 50 percent success in the life of an individual, while the remaining 50 percent is credited to such like effective seminars. It is because these provide golden opportunity for the participants to learn and improve their soft skills.”

Earlier Dr. H.S. Sandhu, Principal of CKDIMT extended warm welcome to the guest speaker and other participants. He said, “In today’s competitive job scenario, soft skills are increasingly becoming as important as academic qualification so as to enhance the employability of students and make them ready to face the emerging challenges of the corporate world. He also assured to hold such like seminars in future also for the benefit of its students”  Mr. Paramjit Singh Makkar, Head Placements said that person’s personality that starts developing during childhood gets strengthened through such kind of seminars. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha (President); S. Narinder Singh Khurana (Hony Secretary); and Dr. Dharamveer Singh (Director Education) appreciated this event. Ms. Ramandeep Walia proposed vote of thanks.
