DAV Public School, Observes Rishi Bodh Diwas

Amritsar, Mar 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the benign blessings of Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Ji, President DAV CMC,  New Delhi, the skilful guidance, Sh. J.P.Shoor secretary ,APP up Sabha, Punjab and dynamic leadership of Regional Director, Punjab Zone-A, (Mrs. Neelam Kamra, President APP Up Sabha, Punjab a special assembly was organised by the students of DAV Public school to pay tribute to the founder of Arya Samaj,Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati on the day of his enlightenment. The students sang devotional bhajans and threw light on his life which is an inspiration for all. They day of Shivratri was a turning point in his life. As a teenager , his spiritual quest began on seeing a mouse eating the offerings made by the devotees  to Lord Shiva. He questioned himself, if God could not defend himself against a little mouse then how could he be the saviour of this massive world. This eventually transformed him and the event came to be known as  Bodh Parva or Night of Enlightenment. This laid the foundation of the great spiritual movement, Arya Samaj which was founded in 1875. The students informed the assembly about the higher message preached by Swami Ji for equality of human beings and divine faith in the Vedas.

Sh. J.P Shoor Director PS (I) and Aided schools sent his solemn blessings for the students on this Occasion. In his message to the students he said that Swami Ji believed that truth alone triumphs so, we must lead our life with honesty and truthfulness. Regional Director, Punjab Zone-A, Dr. (Mrs)Neelam Kamra, in her message said that Arya Samaj propagates truth, open mindedness ,reasoning and scientific temperament. She added that Swami Ji believed that education could living a change in the Indian society, these we must spread knowledge for the welfare of humanity.

The Manager of the school, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Principal DAV College said that we all need to come forward and propagate his teachings for a better society. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school advised the students to follow vedic values and inculcate  Arya culture for a better living.
